The BJP in Kerala today alleged that the state government was abetting sabotage of the Centre's Jan Aushadhi programme envisaged to supply generic medicines at a reasonable price.

Addressing a press conference here, BJP state general secretary A N Radhakrishnan alleged that Jan Aushadhi stores could not be popularised as the state government did not take any initiatives in this regard.

The scheme was started in 2008.

Similarly, programmes under the Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana also was a failure in the state due to government apathy, he alleged.

"It is a scheme that will be beneficial to people seeking jobs abroad especially in Gulf regions," he said.
