Kerala Governor P Sadhasivam today stressed the need for authentic reporting to gain the confidence of the people, saying the media can survive only through honest and responsible reporting.
"It is easy to sensationalise. But responsible and authentic reporting is difficult. Whatever information you get should be cross checked before filing a story," he said, speaking at the inauguration of a private news portal here.
Sadhasivam said development of Information Technology is beyond one's imagination and the print media has lost its importance even in Western countries because of the advent of news channels.
