In a bonanza to its employees ahead of 'Onam' festival, the LDF government in Kerala today decided to sanction a bonus of Rs 3,500 to employees with a monthly salary of up to Rs 22,000.
The decision was taken at the weekly cabinet meeting which also sanctioned a festival allowance of Rs 2,400 to those who were not entitled for bonus, an official release said here.
The Cabinet also decided to enhance the relief amount which can be sanctioned by the Chief Minister, Revenue Minister and District Collector from the CM's Relief Fund.

The district collectors' can sanction up to Rs 10,000, the release said.
