Kerala Governor P Sathasivam today urged people of Kerala to conserve nature by planting trees and ensuring cleanliness of surroundings.
Planting a mango tree sapling at the premises of his official residence, Raj Bhavan, to mark World Environment Day, he said climate has now become unpredictable due to the dearth of nature conservation.
"We have to plant more trees to check climate changes," he said.
Officials planted as many as 25 mango tree saplings of different varieties at Raj Bhavan premises, as part of observance of Environment Day, an official release said.
