Kerala CM releases Master plan for Knowledge city

A road connecting Wayanad directly to Karippur airport in Kozhikode would become a reality soon, Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy today said.

"In this century of knowledge, we should be able to utilise fully technical knowledge," Chandy said after releasing the master plan for 'Markaz Knowledge city' here.

Markas knowledge city under the aegis of the Markazu Ssaquafathi Ssunniyya, a Muslim organisation, is an integrated township of global standards comprising state-of-the-art knowledge houses, healthcare and hospitality realms, residential enclaves and IT park.

The first phase of the knowledge city occupies 125 acres of land.

State Industries Minister P K Kunhalikutty laid the foundation stone for the IT Park and Health Minister V S Sivakumar foundation stone for a 'Unani' Medical college. Deputy leader of opposition Kodiyeri Balakrishnan laid the foundation stone for the Engineering students hostel.
