Kerala CM's gunman suspended

Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy's gunman, already removed from duties for his alleged link with the solar panel scam accused, was today suspended from service.

Salim Raj, attached to the police force, was suspended from service for his conduct unbecoming of the post he holds, a police release said here.

Raj and a personal assistant of Chandy were removed from the CM's Office soon after media reports said both had made frequent telephone calls to the scam accused Saritha Nair.

Seizing on the issue, opposition LDF has been demanding the resignation of Chandy and has decided to intensify its agitation.
