The officers and staff of Kolkata Metro Railway have contributed a day's salary to stand by the flood-affected people of Kerala, a Metro spokesperson said Thursday.
The Metro officers and staff contributed Rs 23.39 lakh to the Prime Ministers National Relief Fund, the spokesperson said.
Unprecedented floods led to widespread devastation in Kerala in August, causing loss of thousands of crores of Rupees worth infrastructure and immense hardship to the people of the southern state.
