Kerala government today sanctioned Rs 8.94 lakh to elite shooter Sidhartha Babu for purchasing necessary equipments and international coaching.
The decision in this regard was taken at the Cabinet meeting here.
36-year-old Sidhartha Babu, a paraplegic, is Kerala state shooting champion in 50m prone rifle category and a national records holder. He is expected to participate in the National Shooting championships which will held later ths year.
He is also aiming to represent India in Tokyo Paralympics of 2020 in 50m prone rifle category.
