Kerala increases paddy procurement price

Kerala government todayincreased paddy procurement price from Rs 21.50 to Rs 22.50.

The new price will come into effect for the paddy procured from October this year.

The decision in this regard was taken at the Cabinet meeting today.

The cabinet also decided to end the toll collection in three places in Ernakulam.

This would cause a loss of Rs 8 crore to the state exchequer, a press release said.

The government also decided to sanction Rs one crore as mess subsidy for police officials who will be on duty during the coming Sabarimala pilgrim season this year.
