Such sea-walls constructed in some parts had established that groynes could effectively prevent sea erosion wherever it was put up, Joseph said replying to a calling attention of Dominic Presentation (Cong).
The construction work would start as and when Centre approves the project, he said, adding, Centre had asked the state to furnish some more details of the scheme.
The government would submit an additional memorandum with the information sought by Centre soon, he said.
