Singer Kerry Katona say she does not want her five kids to follow in her footsteps into showbiz.

The Atomic Kitten singer said she hoped she brought her kids up well enough to avoid the industry after her roller-coaster career in the public eye, reported Femalefirst.

When asked how she would feel if her kids followed her into showbiz, Katona said, "I think I've scared my kids so much that they'll never do anything like that. I hope I brought them up better. I'd be so disappointed and let down if, knowing what I've been through, which they do, they went in that direction.

"But they're not followers, they're leaders, so they won't be pressured into anything."

Katona has daughters Molly, 14, and Lilly-Sue, 13, with ex-husband Brian McFadden; Heidi, eight and Max, seven with second ex Mark Croft; and 22-month-old DJ with estranged husband George Kay.
