Pop star Kesha broke down in tears when she performed Lady Gaga's song about sexual assault, "Til It Happens To You" at an event honouring the track's co-writer Diane Warren.
The "Tik Tok" hitmaker, who, earlier this year, was denied release from her recording contract with Dr Luke, despite claiming she had been abused by the producer - dedicated her appearance at the Humane Society's Los Angeles Gala to all victims of abuse and couldn't keep her emotions in check throughout her appearance, reported Femalefirst.
Taking to the stage alongside Warren, Kesha told the audience at Hollywood's Paramount Studios: "I want to dedicate this song to every man, woman, child, animal, that has ever been abused..."
After singing the Oscar-nominated song, which featured in "The Hunting Ground", a documentary about sexual assault, the 29-year-old star was seen struggling for breath as she wept while hugging Diane.
