B K Birla Group firm Kesoram Industries today reported narrowing of its standalone net loss to Rs 68.78 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2016 on higher sales from cement division.
The company had reported a net loss of Rs 265.42 crore in the year-ago period, Kesoram Industries said in a BSE filing.
Kesoram Industries' total income from operations during the quarter under review fell by 4.69 per cent to Rs 1,012.03 crore from Rs 1,061.84 crore in the corresponding quarter of last fiscal.

Total expenses of the company were also down 12.35 per cent to Rs 1,036.79 crore during the quarter against Rs 1,182.89 crore a year ago.
Its revenue from tyre segment declined 21.77 per cent to Rs 396.27 crore during the quarter as against Rs 506.59 crore of the corresponding period.
However, its cement segment saw a rise of 11.66 per cent in sales to Rs 613.83 crore as against Rs 549.70 crore a year ago.
Shares of Kesoram Industries today settled 1.82 per cent up at Rs 156.45 on BSE.
