Hollywood veteran Kevin Costner is set to be felicitated for his career achievements with the Cinema Icon Award at an upcoming Las Vegas film convention.
The 'Dances With Wolves' star, 59, will receive the honour at the CinemaCon Big Screen Achievement Awards on March 27, reported Contactmusic.
"With over four decades both on screen and behind the camera, Kevin Costner has entertained audiences with memorable performances and mesmerised them with his exceptional filmmaking ability...
"Costner's contribution to the movie-going experience is unparallelled. CinemaCon could not be more honored to present him with the 2014 Cinema Icon Award," a statement issued by event boss Mitch Neuhauser read.
Last year's prize was handed to Hollywood star Morgan Freeman.
