Filmmaker-actor Kevin Smith says the the trailer of "Ghostbusters" all-female reboot is not strong.

However, the 45-year-old "Tusk" director feels the movie will make a fun watch, reported Aceshowbiz.

"It could've been all men with the same jokes, and it still would have sucked. The trailer's not strong, and that doesn't mean the movie's gonna blow, like again the pedigree of this movie is undeniable.

"There's no way all these people involved don't make a funny, at least watchable fun movie," Smith said.

Directed by Paul Feig the film stars Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones. Chris Hemsworth plays a supporting eye candy.

"Ghostbusters" will hit the theatres on July 15.
