A key staff in the office of Home Minister Rajnath Singh has been shunted out.
Amrendra Pratap Sing, who was serving as Additional Private Secretary of the Home Minister, has also been directed to surrender his identity card issued by the Home Ministry, according to a Home Ministry circular.
Singh, an Indian Statistical Service Officer has been removed from his duties on the afternoon of April 30 and ordered him to report his parent cadre immediately.
The reason for the sudden removal of the officer could not be ascertained immediately.
He was appointed as the APS of the Home Minister soon after Rajnath Singh assumed charge in May, 2014.
