Keylong coldest place in Himachal at minus 3.9 degree Celsius

Keylong and Kalpa in tribal districts of Lahaul and Spiti and Kinnaur were the coldest place in Himachal Pradesh with the minimum temperature recorded at minus 3.9 degree Celsius and minus 3 degree Celsius respectively.

Manali shivered at minus 2.2 degree Celsius even as the local MeT office forecast said rains or snow will occur at many places during next three days from tomorrow.

Bhuntar and Sundernagar and Solan recorded minimum temperatures at 3 degree Celsius, 3.6 degree and 3.8 degree respectively, followed by Shimla 4.3 degree, Palampur 4. 5 degree, Dharamsala 6 degree, Una 6.3 degree and Nahan 9.1 degree Celsius.
 

The maximum day temperature rose to 22.5 degree Celsius at Una in Shivalik foothills and Sundernagar while Solan and Bhuntar recorded a high of 21.5 degree, followed by Nahan 20.6 degree, Dharamsala 16.4 degree, Shimla 16. 1 degreeand Kalpa 11 degreeCelsius, three to six degree above normal.

The state received 35.3 mm average rainfall against normal rainfall of 117. 8 mm from January 1 to February 9, 2016,which is 70 per cent less.
