In a letter to the Prime Minister, Forum's chief patron Kishor Lal, former Congress Member Parliament, also demanded a CBI enquiry into the alleged fund misuse in the Commission.

It claimed that KVIC was deliberately allowing losses to accrue at some of the Khadi Bhavans for making a ground for their transfer to private hands.

"In the last 20 years, KVIC has become the hotbed of politics and corruption. It deliberately allowed losses to accrue in the Khadi Bhavans at Kolkata, Bhopal, Bhubaneshwar, Visakhapatanna, Bangalore and Silvasa. Only the Cannaught Place (Delhi) Khadi Gramudyog Bhavan was shown to be running in profit," it said.
