Rebel AAP leader Sukhpal Singh Khaira slammed Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal Friday for blaming Punjab of rising pollution levels in the national capital.
TheBholath legislator also questioned Kejriwal for "absolving" Haryana and blaming only Punjab for causing air pollution and said, "Is it because he needs votes in Haryana."
"@ArvindKejriwal's claim that Pb is responsible for polluting Delhi is technically erroneous as we're witnessing east to west winds (Purra) in Pb for the last many days, in other words stubble smoke if any is blowing towards Pakistan," Khaira tweeted Friday.
He said he completely disagrees with Kejriwal.
"I completely disagree with @ArvindKejriwal for blaming Pb n absolving Hry on pollution. The failure if any lies wth Modi n Pb Govt's for not providing enough equipment to farmers to handle stubble n not the farmers who're under a huge debt of Rs 1 lac Cr leading to suicides," Khaira said in another tweet.
Kejriwal during his visit to Chandigarh on Thursday had said stubble burning in Punjab was the sole reason behind the rising pollution levels in the national capital.
Khaira said, "Mr Kejriwal while citing 1st Nov as Hry day forgot it was Pb day as well, we have been robbed of our waters, our capital of Chandigarh, our Pbi speaking areas etc but there was no mention! On the contrary Pb farmers were blamed for pollution! Is it only bcoz he needs votes in Hry".

Justifying his claim by showing a satellite picture of stubble burning in Punjab as well as Haryana, Kejriwal had rejected the claims that Delhi's air quality had worsened due to its traffic or industries.
"This is a satellite image...You can see the red spots which indicates stubble burning in several parts of Punjab including Bathinda and Amritsar... There cannot be a more scientific (proof) than this," Kejriwal had said.
