Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar today ordered a detailed survey of all those social, charitable and religious institutions, which have been allotted land by the government at concessional rates.

Presiding over a meeting of Haryana Urban Development Authority (HUDA) here today, the CM said, a detailed survey would be carried out to ascertain whether these institutions which have been allotted land are using it for the purpose for which they had bought it and not putting it to commercial use.

The aim of the government is to provide assistance to deserving charitable institutions which are being run for the poor and needy and not to those having sound financial position, he said, according to a release here.

In the meeting, the Authority also approved conversion of Shops-cum-Flats (SCFs) in HUDA Shopping Centres into Shop-cum-Offices (SCOs).

He also directed the officers to launch more schemes for providing residential plots in the HUDA-developed sectors to improve housing facilities in urban areas.
