Khattar stops convoy for roadside cobbler, gives him Rs 50,000

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar today stopped his convoy while passing through Shahabad city, near Kurukshetra, to enquire after an elderly roadside cobbler, an official release said here.

The chief minister, who was returning after attending a function near Kurukshetra, gave the cobbler, Ajmer Singh, Rs 50,000 out of his discretionary fund.

Khattar told him that arrangements would be made to ensure that his two grandsons receive proper education, the release said.
