Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje today said that Khatushyam Panchayat will be converted into municipality for the planned and speedy development of the area.
The Khatushyam Temple area will be developed into a temple town for which Rs 66 crore development works will be done so that devotees get better facilities, Raje said in a release.
She discussed the development plan with the temple development committee and officials, the release said.
Local residents had demanded to convert the Khatushyam panchayat into municipality in a public meeting after which the decision was taken, it said.
Earlier today, the chief minister suspended PWD assistant engineer Mangalchand Verma in Dantaramgarh assembly area in Sikar district after local residents complained her during a public meeting.
She inaugurated and laid foundation for Rs 32 crore worth projects and also directed officials of Public Health Engineering Department (PHED) to expedite Rs 5 crore drinking water project meant of Reengus town in Sikar.
