Former Delhi Chief Minister Madan Lal Khurana, who suffered a brain haemorrhage nearly a week ago, is showing signs of gradual recovery and has been taken off ventilator, doctors treating him said today.
"He has been weaned off the ventilator but is still in the ICU. His condition is gradually improving," said Rajesh Acharya, Senior Consultant from the department of neurosurgery, Sir Gangaram Hospital.
77-year-old Khurana was admitted to hospital on July 18 after he suffered a haemorrhage in the right side of the brain. Doctors operated on him for controlling the bleeding.
