Going a full U-turn, Union Minister Salman Khurshid today went back on his statement expressing support to Third Front, saying that UPA would form a government at the Centre.

"UPA is going to form next government at the Centre. Those who are going to support it will be known in future. Congress will not support Third Front," Khurshid said, addressing an election meeting in Azamgarh.

On Saturday, Khurshid had said that Congress could consider extending support to the Third Front or taking its help to form the government if necessary after the Lok Sabha elections.

"After poll results, if necessary, Congress could consider extending support even to the Third Front to form the government. Not only this, taking support from the Third Front could be considered," he had said.

Khurshid said that after elections, parties which are against communal forces will themselves support Congress.

He said that in India, Muslims and Hindus cannot be separated. "Modi is not trying to unite the country, but to divide the country," he alleged.
