Arjun Kapoor feels homemakers are not given their due in the society and the actor says his upcoming film "Ki & Ka" will begin conversations about them.
In the R Balki-directed movie, the 30-year-old actor plays a homemaker while his wife (Kareena Kapoor) goes to work.
"The film deals with a boy who believes housewives have not got their due. If you don't have stability in your personal life through your partner then you cannot achieve anything professionally," Arjun said in an interview.

The actor said the romantic movie "very sweetly" also deals with the issue of gender inequality.
"The conversation we have initiated in 'Ki & Ka' has been bubbling over a long time in offices, at home. There have been talks about equality. 'Ki & Ka' in a very sweet way says that if you have talent then gender doesn't matter.
"If a man is secure enough to allow his partner to go out and express herself and if he does not feel as ambitious as her, he can be a homemaker also. There is nothing wrong with it," the "Gunday" star said.
Arjun is, however, prepared for extreme reactions for the film as it gives a twist to the system of a traditional Indian household.
"Women who want to work should be given the choice to do that. If you decide to work even after getting married then men should allow that to happen. Its a women choice if she wants to continue, it shouldn't be enforced. Hopefully the film will create conversations, I am sure lots of people will have extreme reactions to it also but as long as a conversation begins, it is good," he said.
"Ki & Ka" releases April 1.
