South Korean auto maker Kia Motors today said it will showcase SP Concept at the upcoming Auto Expo in line with its plans to introduce a new SUV in India.
The company, which plans to start rolling out vehicles in India by second half of 2019, said the SP Concept will be among 16 products from its global portfolio to be displayed at the expo to be held from February 9-14.
"Inspired by Indian heritage and driven by advanced technology, the Kia SP Concept hints at the company's plans to introduce a new SUV to the Indian market in future," Kia Motors India said in a statement.

The SP Concept combines sophisticated beauty, breakthrough technology, and high functionality in a SUV form, it claimed.
Kia will also exhibit its wide range of electric vehicles, plug-in hybrids, and a range of other cars
including the new Stinger sports sedan, it added.
"Kia Motors is looking to replicate its global success in India, the world's fastest growing car market," the statement added.
Commenting on the company's plans, Kia Motors Corporation President Han-Woo Park said, "We aim to set a new standard in the Indian auto industry by providing consumers with world- class products and services, while engaging with and giving back to the local community."
Kia has already announced an investment of USD 1.1 billion to set up its manufacturing plant in Andhra Pradesh which would have a capacity to produce 3 lakh cars per annum.
