The six-day-old baby girl, who was allegedly kidnapped by a woman from a state-run hospital here, was today found abandoned at a government hospital in Bidar city of Karnataka, police said.

Efforts are on to nab the woman, who is absconding.

The baby is being brought back to Hyderabad to hand her over to the parents, they said.

The accused, posing as a staff member at the government maternity hospital, yesterday took away the baby from her mother on the pretext of getting her vaccinated and escaped, police said.

The CCTV footage at the hospital showed the woman taking the baby outside the hospital.

In another footage, she is seen boarding a bus to Bidar and police teams were sent to Bidar to nab her, police said.
