Kidnapped girl rescued

with the intention to use her for begging at railway stations, was rescued from Uttar Pradesh, police said here today.

The girl, who hails from Punjab, was travelling with her mother from Odisha to Haryana's Panipat. She was allegedly lured by one Praveen, they said.

The mother of the victim then approached police following which police traced her to Muzzafarnagar in UP. Praveen was arrested.

A senior police official said the intention was to use the girl for begging at railway stations.
