Kidnapped Haryana businessmen rescued by UP police

Two businessmen from Haryana were rescued by a team of Uttar Pradesh Police here today, police said.

Acting on a tip-off, Siddharth (40) and Pravin (40), both from Sona town of Haryana were rescued while being shifted to an unknown location by the abductors, they said.

The kidnappers, however, managed to flee, they added.

According to police, the two businessmen had a monetary dispute of Rs 20 lakh with Gaurav Singh, also from Haryana.

It is believed that Singh got them abducted, they added.

SP (City) Pravin Ranjan said a FIR had been lodged with Haryana Police in Nooh police station.

The victims were initially held captive in a warehouse in Nooh. They were being taken to a different location when police intercepted them.
