Kidnapped man manages to escape from captivity

A 22-year-old man was allegedly kidnapped by some persons at gunpoint in Sahibabad, however he managed to escape from their clutches, police said.

Saddam, the son of a local trader was allegedly kidnapped by four persons at gunpoint last night reportedly over some old enmity. However he managed to inform one of his employees about it over mobile, Assistant Superintendent of Police Anoop Kumar said.

The kidnappers allegedly took him to Aligarh in a car. At around 11.00 PM Saddam informed his family members that he has managed to free himself from the clutches of the kidnappers when they were having dinner at a roadside eatery, the officer said.
 

Saddam had reportedly used the mobile phone of a rickshaw puller to inform his family, Kumar said, adding Sahibabad police is trying to nab the accused.
