In a swift action, police today succeeded in tracing a one-yer-old boy within one hour of his abduction by a teenage girl in Periyanaicken Palayam on the outskirts.
According to police, the boy Ahmed Jagir was taken by his grand father to the market, when a girl, about 16 years in appearance, came near the kid and started playing.
Much to shock of the grand father, Mohammed, the child was missing and also the girl. Father of the child immediately alerted the police, who formed two teams, they said.
Police managed to trace both the girl and child from some distance and handed over to the family.
