A kidney website, launched by a city-based nephrologist, will now be available in Chinese and Spanish languages.

City-based nephrologist Sanjay Pandya, who had first launched the website in Gujarati language, plans to launch it in Chinese and Spanish tomorrow, since March 13 is observed as 'World Kidney Day'.

"I had first launched the website giving details about kidney ailments in Gujarat nearly three-and-a-half years ago and now I am going to launch it in Chinese and Spanish," he said.

The website has been launched in various regional languages like Gujarati, Hindi, Tamil, Kannad and Punjabi, he said.

"The objective is to create awareness among people about kidney disease," Pandya said, adding every year nearly one lakh people in India need dialysis, which is very costly and only five to six per cent of people can afford it.

Pandya claimed that his website has received more than 90 lakh hits so far, since it was launched.
