The 35-year-old, who raises two kids Apple and Moses with Paltrow, said the "Iron Man" actress makes sure the kids make him realise he is not above in carrying out normal tasks, reported Contactmusic.
"We played Wembley Stadium and I was like, 'Wow, we are big rock stars' but at six o'clock in the morning the kids were like, 'Get me some pancakes. And I was like, 'Oh, am I a rock star?' But that's what hopefully keeps your music real," he said.
The "Yellow" singer also said his kids are more important than his career.
"Just at the point where you would have got really big egos, we all have these little people who we are all responsible for and they keep us focused on what is really important in life."
