Killing of two Tamil students in Sri Lanka condemned

Protest demonstrations were held here today by pro-Tamil outfits condemning the killing of two Tamil students in Sri Lanka on October 21.

Cadres of MDMK, Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi, Tamilaga Vazhviurimai Katchi, and volunteers of Naam Tamilar Katchi held demonstrations near the office of the Sri Lanka Deputy High Commissioner here.

They raised slogans condemning the gunning down of the two students of Jaffna University by police in Sri Lanka's Tamil- dominated Northern Province.

Following the shootout, five police officials were arrested and on October 24, students of Jaffna University took out a rally and blocked highways to protest the killings.
