Reality TV star Kim Kardashian has written to Twitter officials and made a request to include an edit option on the micro-blogging site.

The 34-year-old pregnant star, who is an avid social media user, said that she had pitched the micro-blogging site a feature that would allow users to edit their messages after they had been posted, reported Us magazine.

"I just emailed Twitter to see if they can add an edit feature so that when you misspell something you don't have to delete & repost Let's see," Kim posted on twitter.

The "Keeping Up With The Kardashian" star immediately captured Twitter's attention, and within thirty minutes the website's co-founder Jack Dorsey responded directly to the reality star.

"Great idea! We're always looking at ways to make things faster and easier,' he wrote with enthusiasm.

Last month Kim got a lesson in spelling after begging the fashion brand Armani not to discontinue her favourite foundation on Twitter.

After she misspelled the designer's name as 'Georgio' Armani - it's actually spelled Giorgio - someone behind the brand's Twitter account politely corrected her and offered to send some of the much-needed foundation her way.
