Kin of man who eloped killed by girl's family in Aurangabad

Deshmukh on Tuesday said serious note has been taken of an incident in Aurangabad in which the brother of a man who eloped with a girl was allegedly killed by her family.

Deshmukh, in a tweet, asked police to file a charge sheet in the case within 30 days.

The 17-year-old brother of Amol Gaikwad was killed and his parents injured by the girl's kin in Lakh-Khandala area of Aurangabad's Vaijapur taluka, some 370 kilometres from here.

Amol Gaikwad had eloped with the girl and the killing was allegedly an act of revenge.

"The Home department has taken a serious note of the incident and have directed that the charge sheet in the case be filed in 30 days," Deshmukh tweeted.
