Legendary Pictures is reportedly thinking of brining in two giant monsters--King Kong and Godzilla--together.

Thomas Tull from the production company is moving his untitled "Skull Island" King Kong film to Warner Bros with an aim to unite the property with Legendary's other giant franchise, Godzilla, reported Deadline.

The studio move is an effort to keep the gigantic beasts under the same distributor so that it gets easier to plan the movie.

The "Godzilla" sequel that is in the works will be followed by a movie that pits the giant ape versus the giant fire breathing reptile.

The King Kong movie, "Skull Island" is in the pre-production stage with Brie Larson, Tom Hiddleston and Corey Hawkins as the main cast.

Set to feature the origin story of Kong, "Skull Island" is scheduled for March, 2017 release.
