Puducherry Lt Governor Kiran Bedi today said that the posting of new Vice Chancellor to Pondicherry University by the Union HRD Ministry "is another important development after the change in bureaucracy leadership here.
In her whatsapp message to media persons, she made a veiled reference to the transfer of the Chief Secretary Manoj Parida to Delhi in the first week of this month by the Centre and pointed out that after the change in bureaucracy, the posting of new vice chancellor was another development for Puducherry.
Professor Gurmeet Singh of the Department of Chemistry in Delhi University has been appointed the new vice chancellor.
"I have no doubt this would help us work together", she said.
If the university and the administration collaborate, it would benefit research for students.
