Former IPS officer Kiran Bedi today visited a drug de-addiction centre at local government medical college here.
Talking to media, she said the society should come forward and engage itself in campaign for eradicating drug addiction from the state.
She suggested the centre's officials to involve intellectuals from universities and doctors from various fields in their efforts to make the state drug free.
Notably, Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal this year had invited Bedi to put her views on tackling the problem of drug abuse and trafficking in the state for an early resolution of the malady.
