Biocon Chairman and Managing Director Kiran Mazumdar Shaw has been elected as the first non-executive Chairman of Association of Biotechnology Led Enterprises (ABLE) in honorary capacity.
The ABLE executive council elected Mazumdar Shaw, who chairs Karnataka's Vision Group on Biotechnology and also serves on the Advisory Council of the Government's Department of Biotechnology.
P M Murali, Managing Director and CEO, Evolva Biotech, was re-elected as President for a second term at the meet here last week, an ABLE release said.
The new office bearers will serve in their new positions for three years from 2015 to 2018, the release said.
