'Kirpaan-The Sword of Honor' cast promotes film in Amritsar

The star cast of dialogue writer Amrik Gill's directorial debut 'Kirpaan-The Sword of Honor' were in the city today to promote their upcoming romantic film.

Amrik has written the dialogue for Bollywood blockbusters like 'Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam', 'Ghayal', 'Ziddi' among others. He has also penned the dialogues for Punjabi films.

The film starring Roshan Prince, Gurleen Chopra and Sameksha Singh, is slated to hit theatres on February 7.

"Beeru's role is very close to my heart. It is a reflection of the personality metamorphosis a young man undergoes in compelling circumstances," Roshan, who was flanked by actresses Gurleen and Sameksha said.
 

Debutant producer Rajinder Banwait said that in the times when Punjabi cinema industry rides high on wave of comedy masala and multi starrer films, 'Kirpaan - The Sword of Honor' comes in a different shade and perspective.

He further said that in recent spate of Punjabi box office dudes, 'Kirpaan - The Sword of Honor' will come as a film that guides youngsters and is high on entertainment quotient.

A production of Rabab Records Private Limited, the movie also stars Kulbhushan Kharbanda, Sunita Dhir, Hari Joshi and Jeetendra Bharadwaj among others.

The movie's music was recently released on Shemaroo.
