Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU) today here criticized Haryana government's decision to ban the sale of UP paddy in the Haryana purchase centres.
The members criticized the decision which ban the purchase of paddy crops from UP farmers and was being sold in Haryana. They also said the decision was 'anti-farmer.'
The farmers should be free to sell their crops in any part of the country. Haryana's decision has created problems before, BKU President Naresh Tikait said.
The rate of paddy in Haryana state is higher than UP and the UP farmers were selling their crop in Haryana to get good rates, he added.
