Kishanpur, a village under Palamau parliamentary constituency in Jharkhand with a population of 3,000 has been identified for development under Sansad Adarsh Gram Yojana (SAGY), a senior official today said.
The village under Patan block of Palamau district was identified on the recommendation of Palamau MP and former state DGP B D Ram, said Deputy Commissioner of Palamau, Kripananad Jha.
Jha told reporters that funding for the development would be made from MP quota as well as the district administration.
A special team headed by Jha and comprised of experts, have been constituted, he said adding basic infrastructure development such as road, drainage, school building, health centre, agriculture and irrigation, electricity and drinking water would be taken up under the project.
