The song 'Naino Mein Sapna', made famous by legendary playback singer Kishore Kumar, has been given a modern makeover by his son Amit in the remake version of the Jeetendra-Sridevi starrer 'Himmatwala'. "Re-recording 'Naino Mein Sapna' for me was like being a part of history. Never before has a song been sung in the same style rendered by his father 30 years ago," said Sajid Khan, who is directing the new 'Himmatwala'. "When Amit started singing it was almost like Kishoreda had come alive to sing the song for us," he said. As the filmmakers had the rights to the song so a few lines from the original have been retained. Music composer duo Sajid-Wajid have recreated the music of the chartbuster in sync with today's music. Ajay Devgn and southern star Tamannaah Bhatia are playing the main leads in the remake of 'Himmatwala'. Known as the 'matka' number, the original was picturised with Jeetendra and Sridevi in the eighties with Lata Mangeshkar and Kishore Kumar lending their voices. The melodious Shreya Ghoshal has lent her voice for the female part in the reprise version which released online today.
