Six drug peddlers, including one having terrorist background, were arrested here today and 25 gram heroin and one kg intoxicating powder have been recovered from their possession, police said.
Of the arrested smugglers, one peddlar Rashpal Singh alias Baba has a terrorist background, Phagwara SP Harkamalpreet Singh Khakh said.
Rashpal was a member of Khalistan Jindabad Force (KJF), Jammu group, and 25 cases under Explosive and Arms Acts were registered against him in Jalandhar, Gurdaspur and Hoshiarpur districts, he said.
