International Road Federation (IRF), a global body advocating for safer roads, today said K K Kapila has been elected as its Chairman for the third term.
"The General Assembly of the International Road Federation (IRF) Geneva unanimously re-elected Kiran K Kapila to serve a third term as Chairman," IRF said in a statement.
Kapila is the Chairman and Managing Director of New Delhi-based Infrastructure Consultancy Company ICT.

"Road Safety will continue to be at the top of my agenda and I will continue to strive to ensure the success of the Global Plan of the UN Decade of Action for Road Safety, which calls for a 50 per cent reduction in road accidents and fatalities by the end of 2020," said Kapila commenting on his re-election.
Established in 1948, IRF is a membership-based organisation, representing leading corporate and institutional players drawn from the road and mobility sectors worldwide.
