KLM introduces Whatsapp 'family updates' of flight status

Dutch carrier KLM Monday said it has launched a Whatsapp service family updates for its customers and inner circle, which will provide an update of flight status.

After booking a flight on the airline's website customers can opt-in to receive their booking confirmation and flight status updates via WhatsApp.

KLM passengers who receive their boarding pass via WhatsApp will get an invite to use this latest KLM WhatsApp service, free of charge, the airline said adding KLM will then send a message to the friends and family of participating passengers as soon as the flight has departed.

Electric vehicles charging infrastructure services provider Magenta Power has set up an EV charging station "ChargeGrid" at the the HPCL staff colony in Chembur in Mumbai.

 

The charging station, which can charge up to three EVs, will be connected and operated via ChargeGrid App which will allow cashless transactions and remote monitoring for the EV users, according to a release.

ChargeGrid App provides an integrated platform for viewing network of charging stations.

Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Monday said it would use inland waterways for transporting vehicles by using the newly launched Roll-on, Roll-off (Ro-Ro) Ghogha-Dahej ferry service in Gujarat.

A company release said it first dispatched its shipment by road from its Narsapura plant in Karnataka to Dahej in South Gujarat, where it was put on the Ro-Ro vessel and transported to Ghogha in Saurashtra.

The shipment arrived at Honda dealership in Bhavnagar, Gujarat, it added.

Besides reduction in both time and distance, the service will also cut down the carbon emissions by approx 150 kg per trip, the company said.
