Altogether 800 patients were treated for water-borne diseases under Kolkata Municipal Corporation (KMC) area, Mayor-In-Council Atin Ghosh said today.
They were all treated at the KMC-run health centres in different wards and discharged, he told reporters here.
He said door to door campaign would be launched to dispel panic among the people about enteric outbreak which was unfounded and urged the media to help with the civic authorities not to press the panic button.
Ghosh said though 123 patients had been admitted to Beleghata ID Hospital for enteric disease in past few days, only four-five were undergoing treatment.
