KMF Chief granted bail by Lokayukta court in corruption case

Lokayukta court today granted anticipatory bail to Karnataka Milk Federation Chairman G Somashekara Reddy and five others in a private complaint alleging corruption against them.

Judge N K Sudhindra Rao granted relief to the accused on a personal bond of Rs 5 lakh and surety of the like sum each and directed them not to tamper with evidence and cooperate with the investigation.

The others who got relief are: Venkatraman (former KMF Managing Director), Narasimha Reddy, (Director, Finance, KMF), Ramesh Kunoor (Additional Director KMF), D N Hegde (Additional Director, KMF) and Bernad (Director, Animal Husbandry Department).

On December 15, the court admitted the complaint and ordered Lokayukta police to conduct a probe into the alleged irregularities that had taken place in KMF.
 

Chandrahas, the complainant and former KMF Director, had alleged that Reddy and seven others were allegedly involved in corruption in KMF which resulted in the federation incurring a huge loss.
