Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar today said the construction of the Kundli-Manesar-Palwal (KMP) Expressway will be completed in the next 13 months.

"The construction company has assured the government that it would restart work and complete the KMP expressway in the next 13 months," he said at a public meeting at Kharkhoda here.

"I have conducted an aerial survey of the expressway and heavy machinery has been deployed at all places for completing the construction work," Khattar said.

Industrial areas would be developed along the expressway, and Kharkhoda would emerge as a global player in terms of development, he said.

Besides, discussion with Wanda Group of China for investing in a project at IMT near the KMP is in the final stage, Khattar said.

The Chief Minister said his government had fulfilled most of its promises, including those which seemed difficult to complete.

"One of the state government's biggest achievement was curbing corruption," he said urging people to lodge complaints against those who demanded bribes.

"To make the state kerosene-free, the Haryana government had decided to distribute free LPG cylinders to six lakh women. This target would be achieved in eight districts by November 1," he said.

The Chief Minister announced development works of about Rs 125 crore for Kharkhoda.
